Smart cities are the natural evolution of cities’ formation. They present a harmonious relationship between technological advancement and everyday living. Successful implementation of modern technology in cities stands to help improve multiple aspects of life for current and future generations. This is especially important as, according to the United Nations, it is estimated that people living in cities worldwide will reach 66% of the global population in 30 years, and as the population density booms within cities, the need for smart systems that aid in urban transit management is on the rise, to avoid housing crises, reduce traffic accidents, and introduce an overall smooth transportation system.
